Sh. Shamsher Singh

- icon Late Const Shamsher Singh joined Chandigarh Police as a constable on 21-04-1986. On that fateful night of January 25th, 1991 around 11:00 PM after duty when he reached his home a few militants, associated with (Khalistan Liberation Force, KLF) wearing Khaki clothes forcibly entered the house. The militants threatened the family members and left the house with CT Shamsher Singh. Then they went to his cousin brother CT Mohan Singh's residence, who was in Punjab Police, which was at the back of CT Shamsher's House. Militants were fully armed with AK 47 rifles and they forcibly entered into St. Mohan Singh's House. He was also taken out from his house coercively. Arms of both the police personnel were tied up at the back by the brutal militants. Some fresh gunshots were heard in the village after some time. He was found dead next day in the village

Insp. Sucha Singh

- icon Late Insp. Sucha Singh joined Chandigarh Police as a constable on 30-04-1976 and was promoted to the rank of Inspector on 31.10.2008. While posted in the Traffic wing of Chandigarh Police he was on night Checking Duty in the area of Sub-Division Central on the intervening night of 08/09-06-2013. During checking Inspector Sucha Singh questioned one suspicious couple sitting near the District Court, Sector 17, Chandigarh. During this process, the accused stabbed him multiple times due to which he was martyred. Late Inspector Sucha Singh gave up his life valiantly so that others could live.

SI Amarjit Singh

On 25.02.1992, while he was escorting under trial terrorist Arvinder Singh, Tanny in Police custody in PGI for treatment, some un-identified terrorists attacked this police party. SI Amarjit Singh bravely fought the terrorists till he was martyred.

ASI Lalu Ram

S.S.Saini, SSP, some desperate terrorists laid an explosive booby trap, which blasted the SSP's car. ASI Lalu Ram was martyred on the spot

ASI Amarjit Singh

Insp. Jagjit Singh

Jagjit Singh joined Chandigarh Police as ASI on 6.5.72, while he was posted as SHO PS-39, on 17.07.1988 he led a raid on H.No.2195/1 Sector-45, where some terrorists, armed with sophisticated weapons were taking shelter. Exhibiting exemplary courage and leadership, Inspector Jagjit Singh broke open the door and rushed inside the house. In this encounter 3 terrorists were killed. Inspector Jagjit Singh also received fatal bullet injuries and was martyred on the spot.
