Late Night Dropping of Ladies

IIn circumstances where a woman happens to be outside her place of residence during late-night hours and finds herself unable to secure suitable transportation—such as a taxi, auto-rickshaw, cab, or any other reliable means of conveyance—to safely return to her place of stay, she is encouraged to seek immediate assistance from the Chandigarh Police.

For such situations, the lady may contact the Police Control Room (PCR) by calling any of the following helpline numbers: 112 or 0172-2749194 or 0172-2744100. Upon receiving the request, the Police Control Room shall ensure the prompt dispatch of a PCR vehicle to her current location.

The designated police personnel will then accompany and safely transport the woman to her intended place of stay, provided the destination lies within the jurisdiction of Chandigarh. This service is specifically intended to enhance the safety and security of women during vulnerable hours and reflects the Chandigarh Police’s ongoing commitment to public welfare and responsive policing.
